Package: laptop-mode-tools
Version: 1.08-1
Severity: normal

The directory /etc/laptop-mode/ contains only ONE file: laptop-mode.conf
Maybe this uniq file would be at a better place in /etc/default/?

The Debian policy talks about /etc/default/ in chapter "9.3.2. Writing
the scripts" regarding the init.d scripts. It is not exactly the case we
have here since the configuration file is not used by
/etc/init.d/laptop-mode but by the command /usr/sbin/laptop_mode started
by /etc/init.d/laptop-mode.

I could not find anything in the FHS or LSB regarding /etc/default/ but
I have not searched much.

Maybe this should be discussed on debian-devel?

Bye,
