Hi, systemd does not start uptimed. The logs show: Oct 13 17:58:26 kirk kernel: [ 12.315116] systemd[1]: Found ordering cycle on basic.t arget/start Oct 13 17:58:26 kirk kernel: [ 12.315120] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to sysinit .target/start Oct 13 17:58:26 kirk kernel: [ 12.315124] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to uptimed.service/start Oct 13 17:58:26 kirk kernel: [ 12.315128] systemd[1]: Walked on cycle path to basic.target/start Oct 13 17:58:26 kirk kernel: [ 12.315134] systemd[1]: Breaking ordering cycle by deleting job uptimed.service/start I think the reson is that updtimed has both an uptimed.sh script (in runlevel S) and a regular uptimed script, and systemd thinks they are both the same. /etc $ find -name \*uptimed\* ./rcS.d/S24uptimed.sh ./rc5.d/S01uptimed ./rc1.d/K01uptimed ./rc2.d/S01uptimed ./rc3.d/S01uptimed ./rc4.d/S01uptimed ./rc0.d/K01uptimed ./init.d/uptimed ./init.d/uptimed.sh ./uptimed.conf ./rc6.d/K01uptimed Greetings, Joachim - -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages systemd depends on: ii libc6 2.11.2-6 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libcap2 1:2.19-3 support for getting/setting POSIX. ii libdbus-1-3 1.2.24-3 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libpam0g 1.1.1-6 Pluggable Authentication Modules l ii libudev0 161-1 libudev shared library Versions of packages systemd recommends: ii libpam-systemd 11-1 system and session manager - PAM m Versions of packages systemd suggests: ii systemd-gui 11-1 system and session manager - GUI - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAky12b4ACgkQ9ijrk0dDIGzd4QCeN+5Zm5L0TXcRyJIwbNH8uA2f 76EAoL6scQ4RNw/YeJoEJgHdeJ/M2jW7 =DssW -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
