If I correctly read both code and git history, there are upstream revisions that have not yet been included in the Debian package (r32 to r40). Furthermore, late Frans Pop did some work in the svn/debian branch on http://git.debian.org/?p=collab-maint/qcontrol.git which might be interesting (notably about daemon mode).
