The issue was addressed upstream, a partial patch can be found on the
binutils list at:
http://sourceware.org/ml/binutils/2005-08/msg00212.html
Could you please upload a fixed binutils? Some FTBFS are still caused
by this issue and need to be addressed manually, and this would require
a lot of work to workaround for each upstream release.
