Package: parcellite Version: 0.9.2-1 Severity: normal Try the following:
1- Open a big text file on Emacs (for example, 1GB) 2- Select all the text and cut it to the clipboard using C-w Emacs will do the right thing by warning the action can't be undoed because the selected region is big, but if parcellite is active it will store all the copied text, probably being killed by the kernel OOM. Parcellite needs to be fixed to truncate the text of a cut if it surpasses some limit. Probably the problem is worse if you have save_history enabled (didn't tried it). -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages parcellite depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 1.30.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.11.2-6+squeeze1 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libcairo2 1.8.10-6 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libfontconfig1 2.8.0-2.1 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.4.2-1 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libglib2.0-0 2.24.2-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.20.1-2 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libpango1.0-0 1.28.3-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libx11-6 2:1.3.3-3 X11 client-side library parcellite recommends no packages. parcellite suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
