It looks like there have been encouraging trends related to bug#440253
on the inform7 site.  Graham Nelson appears to be preparing source
releases, and has standardized on the Artistic License 2.0 as his
preferred distribution terms.  As I look on it now, I can see:

        http://inform7.com/sources/webs/

This lists most if not all of the Inform6 portions of I7 under a
DFSG-free license.  Would it be possible to compose a standalone I6N
package that could replace the current v6 inform packages until Nelson
is satisfied with a release-quality I7 stack?


As you can see from my e-mail domain, I have a long-standing personal
connection with IF.  I have had to stand aside as a conscientious
objector for at least a decade and a half now, and GN's recent
generosity on this matter has made me quite eager to see something in
main.
