Check your device.map. The result is different, but still does not work. I have also tried to remove the (fake) /dev/xvda device. The result is: # grub-probe -t abstraction --device /dev/xvda1 -v grub-probe: info: /dev/xvda1 starts from 0. grub-probe: info: opening the device /dev/xvda. grub-probe: error: cannot find a GRUB drive for /dev/xvda1. Check your device.map. When testing with devices.map entry, but fake xvda removed: # grub-probe -t abstraction --device /dev/xvda1 -v grub-probe: info: Cannot stat `/dev/xvda', skipping. grub-probe: info: /dev/xvda1 starts from 0. grub-probe: info: opening the device /dev/xvda. grub-probe: error: cannot find a GRUB drive for /dev/xvda1. Check your device.map. * * * Anything else to test? Csillag
