Hi,

trying to clone a partition table on a freshly installed squeeze
system with sfdisk gives the following error:

Device Boot Start End #sectors Id System
/dev/sdc1 2048 19531775 19529728 fd Linux raid autodetect
/dev/sdc2 19531776 3907024064 3887492289 fd Linux raid autodetect
/dev/sdc3 0 - 0 0 Empty
/dev/sdc4 0 - 0 0 Empty
Warning: partition 1 does not end at a cylinder boundary

sfdisk: I don't like these partitions - nothing changed.
(If you really want this, use the --force option.)

The requirement to align to cylinder boundaries has been gone for a
long time now. With the introduction of drives with 4k blocks and SSDs
with 128k erasure blocks it has become neccessary to align to
multiples of those instead. An alignment to 1MiB boundaries seems to
become the new standard and is what DI uses in squeeze.

Please change the sfdisk behaviour to recognice the new alignmet rules
so --force is not required for a perfectly well aligned table. You
might even fail with the old CHS alignment if the disk has > 512
byte I/O size (See fdisk -l output).
