In squeeze+1, there will probably be a /usr/share/gitweb/static containing all the static files, so each webserver configuration does not have to maintain its own list. That would be good and bad, of course: - good because it is a simpler configuration regimen - bad because every configuration change causes pain Maybe by then there will be a standard way in Debian to autoconfigure webapps in servers other than Apache.
