i'm using libpam-opensc on a mixed etch/sid system here, with an eGate
cryptoflex USB token. i'm seeing the same effects other folks are
reporting. It's important. one other place that i'm seeing
difficulties is with xscreensaver (which uses libpam-opensc for
unlocking):

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ xscreensaver -no-splash -no-capture-stderr &
[1] 20497
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ xscreensaver-command -lock
xscreensaver-command: activating and locking.
## i authenticated myself to the xscreensaver screen here##
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ xscreensaver: card.c:205: sc_transceive: Assertion
`recvsize >= 2' failed.

Normally, xscreensaver runs in the background as a standard process,
and it is locked using xscreensaver-command. however, this bug
crashes xscreensaver because of the assertion, so xscreensaver needs
to be restarted. i didn't start seeing this behavior until some time
in the beginning of August, i think. But i didn't connect it to the
opensc upgrade until i stumbled across this bug report. it seems
pretty clearly related.

i'm also using openct as the terminal driver.

i haven't tested any downgrades yet.
