That bug is old. I've already upgraded to Squeeze and I haven't played FreeCiv of some time. I couldn't reproduce same issue on 2.2.1. When I played it today, game did crash couple of times with different error, but freeciv client kept running instead of closing like it did in previous versions. If others are not experiencing similar issues, it is possible that bug is triggered by my freeciv playing patterns.
