Package: diff Version: 2.8.1-11 Severity: wishlist Hi,
I frequently want to compare the differences between two versions of the same LaTeX file, where small changes in a sentence, combined with reflowing the text within an editor, yield changes to an entire paragraph, as far as diff is concerned. It would be most ideal if somehow diff could be asked to treat newlines the same as whitespace, and combined with -b, just print out the "line" that has changed instead of the entire paragraph. Thanks. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12.3 Locale: LANG=en_AU, LC_CTYPE=en_AU (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages diff depends on: ii libc6 2.3.5-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an diff recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
