Package: lintian Version: 2.4.3 Severity: important Please raise the serverity of the lintian issue init.d-script-starts-in-stop-runlevel from warning to error, as installing packages with this problem confuses sysv-rc to believe the system is not yet converted to dependency based boot sequencing.
The only package with this problem according to <URL: http://lintian.debian.org/tags/init.d-script-starts-in-stop-runlevel.html > is unattended-upgrades, and its bug #593987 was recently found to cause sysv-rc to ask the user to migrate an already migrated system. I would also recommend to adjust the ftp archive software to reject packages with this bug present, to make sure more packages with this bug are uploaded.
