Yes, I'm not sure how to solve that. I'm not even sure it's possible at
all. The problem here is that in the end, either a CGI or a local command
has to be executed, and I don't think that can be done in a reliable way
without having a web server installed.
That said, you *can* search without running a web server, you just have
to do it from the command-line, not the browser. You can just use the
command "dhelp" from a terminal, like so:
dhelp searchterm1 searchterm2
Which incidentally doesn't seem to work for me now for some reason, does
it work for you? I'll have a look.
NB Similar thing happens even if I try to browse man or info pages,
which is
even more surprising.
Yes, unfortunately showing man or info pages needs some conversion, so
that's done by some CGI. I'll have a look and see if I can come up with
some good solution for it.
