Not true...  I had no other apps listening on :80.  See my above comment,
removing the ipv6 config allowed nginx to work.  I still think this is an
issue as the default config does not (did not for me anyway) allow nginx to
start.  Again, simply removing that ipv6 comment fixed the problem so I
obviously had no other apps running on :80
