Please consider a patch to allow the source package ip4r to build the binaries for more that one version of PostgreSQL easily, see here: http://pgsql.tapoueh.org/ip4r/ http://pgsql.tapoueh.org/ip4r/multi-major.patch It depends on the work I did in postgresql-server-dev-all that comes with the very hand pg_buildext tool, you can see usage of it in your debian/rules. http://pgsql.tapoueh.org/ip4r/ip4r-1.05/debian/rules Also please note that upstream released 1.05 to update compat with 9.0.
