And you're welcome - it is really difficult to get all things right
from the start.

Ok, now I see, so it affects all kinds of guests, and happens
right on the start.

Now, the only missing information I'd like to know is your
kernel version.

If your kernel package is linux-image-2.6.32-686 ver. 2.6.32-28,
this is the same problem as http://bugs.debian.org/604956 .

If it's the case, for now you can choose to install 64bit kernel
which does not have this issue, or wait for updated 32bit kernel
(the bugfix is pending upload, if everything turns out to be ok).

Please indicate which kernel you're running.
