nscd is not working with debug & logging enabled:

edit /etc/nscd.conf:
logfile /var/log/nscd.log
debug-level 1
nscdtest:~# /etc/init.d/nscd restart
Stopping Name Service Cache Daemon: nscd.
Starting Name Service Cache Daemon: nscd.
nscdtest:~# ls -l
total 8
-rw-r--r-- 1 0 0 197 2005-08-24 13:24 dbootstrap_settings
-rw-r--r-- 1 0 0 1336 2005-08-24 13:24 install-report.template
This is a clean sarge netinstall + nscd pkg, kernel is 2.6.8-2-386 (if that
matters)
