Messages like Error: Expected the default config, but wasn't able to find it, or it isn't a Dictionary make it look like xpdf is talking about something in /etc, but as this doesn't occur on some files, it must be talking about something in the file. Please make the error message clear so it doesn't look like a Debian bug.
