Package: cron
Version: 3.0pl1-105
Severity: wishlist
Hello,
from crontab(5):
| Each line has five time and date fields, followed by a command,
| followed by a newline character ('\n').
When editing a user crontab with 'crontab -e' the syntax is checked -
except of the newline character. This may result in the last cronjob
beeing silently ignored when the newline character is missing.
This might be a rare case but can still be very uncomfortable if a
cronjob is not executed as expected. Therefore it would be nice to
syntax check the newline, too.
Many thanks,
Andreas
