Package: loop-aes-utils Version: 2.16.2-1 Severity: important
uname -a Linux xxx 2.6.32-5-686 #1 SMP Sat Oct 30 22:47:19 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux loop-aes-utils Version: 2.16.2-1 loop-aes-source Version: 3.3a-1 Hello, I just migrated from Lenny x86 to Squeeze x86. Because in Squeeze there is no loop-aes-module package, I built the loop-aes-sources with m-a and installed them. Mounting of my loop-aes encrypted partitions works, but only manual. On system boot via fstab, there comes no password prompt after stating that the loop module was loaded, instead the system sits there and waits forever (at least 5 minutes). When I hit Ctrl-C, there come a couple of messages something like this: "I/O buffer error on loop device". I actually use now the "noauto" option in fstab to disable boot mount. Then the system boots ok. Manual mounting of the loop-aes-partition also works fine. Compiling the kernel-sources with deactivating the original loop block device did not help either. booting with kernel option acpi=off did not help either. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages loop-aes-utils depends on: ii gnupg 1.4.10-4 GNU privacy guard - a free PGP rep ii libblkid1 2.17.2-3.3 block device id library ii libc6 2.11.2-7 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libselinux1 2.0.96-1 SELinux runtime shared libraries ii libsepol1 2.0.41-1 SELinux library for manipulating b ii mount 2.17.2-3.3 Tools for mounting and manipulatin Versions of packages loop-aes-utils recommends: ii sharutils 1:4.9-1 shar, unshar, uuencode, uudecode loop-aes-utils suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
