It takes several minutes to run. Are you sure it's a good idea?
Absolutely sure.
What happens if some little test fails?
Somebody fixes either the test, or the offending code, or temporarily
disables the test. Easy.
Is it better to have 99% working package, or not a package at all?
It's not like anybody is going to kick a package out of archive just
because it FTBFS. :)
Think of running tests at build time like an investment in quality
assurance.
