The problem seems to happen when one picks the Finnish keymap. Picking the French one doesn't trigger the problem (so I assume others are OK, too). Even picking the French keymap *after* picking the Finnish one (by using "Go Back" in screen and redo the "Choose keyboard" step)....leaves you with non-working keys. So, in some way, the problem might lie in the finnish keymap.
