Package: sysvinit-utils
Version: 2.88dsf-13
Severity: normal

Hi,

having the service command, that cleans up the environment of a process
is really helpful. But the support for the LC_ variables is missing.
Running LC_ALL=C LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 service … leads to translated logging
messages. Either drop LANG or add all LC_ variables to the env call.

Bye, Jörg.
