OK, this sounds like id:[email protected] >From reading id:"[email protected]", I think it is not quite ready for upstream. Micah's patch only gives the last directory component, whereas apparently (despite what djb and the Maildir++ standard think) some people want to use hierarchical directories. Since Carl is both upstream and the Debian Maintainer, it doesn't seem too likely that Debian will be carrying feature patches.
