Yeah. The program does something else than what the manual page sas it does. The manual page says it uses only the first mirror in sources.list, whereas the code actually tries to use all of them. Since it is only written to deal with the typical (dare I say canonical?) Debian mirror, things fail. I've patched my development sources to obey the manual page.
