for the record, i cannot upload packages to debian. i only maintain the upstream packages. so translating upstream templates, while definitely appreciated, may not necessarily make it into debian unless jonas decides to include them- jonas has made significant improvements to my debconf templates in the past that hit debian before hitting upstream.
