It is good idea to do so. If source is XML, I can make such thing easily but with SGML, I do not know clean to such things. Solution 1: Use cpp MACRO to make SGMLs: 1 for English build and 1 for PO template. Solution 2: Use some bogus marker such as @@@no-translate-start@@@ and @@@no-translate-end@@@ then change them to <!--- ---> if it is for PO template, otherwise empty string with sed.
