Package: bti
Version: 028-2
Severity: important

The bti man page says:

   --dry-run
      Performs all steps that would normally be done for a given action,
      but will not connect to the service to post or retrieve data.

I did:

$ bti --dry-run --config ~/.bti-twitter
tweet: test

and the tweet was posted!

  https://twitter.com/vinc17/status/21347790235897856

Since data get publicly posted while they should not (during a
debugging phase, things may go wrong, and this can be quite bad
for users who don't know this bug), I'm setting the severity to
important. Perhaps it could be raised...
