Could you send the relevant portion of /var/log/dpkg.log*?  More
specifically, I am interested to know what version of python-central
is installed when python's postinst runs.

remove dangling symlinks at upgrade).

Matthias, maybe something like

        Conflicts: python-central (<< 0.6.15)

is needed in the python2.[567]-minimal and python packages to ensure
a smooth upgrade?
