Package: emacs23-nox Version: 23.2+1-7 Severity: normal
I tried to use emacs23-nox in gnome-terminal, % export LANG=ja_JP % emacs23-nox and pushed some arrow keys. When first key pushed, a cursor doesn't move. When second key pushed, a cursor followed first key. When third key pushed, a cursor followed second key. ... I tried some different conditions. * With xterm, a cursor delayed. * With emacs22-nox, a cursor doesn't delay. * With LANG=C, a cursor doesn't delay. * With C-p/C-n/C-f/C-b, a cursor doesn't delay. I guess it caused by LANG=ja_JP. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-vserver-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=ja_JP.eucjp, LC_CTYPE=ja_JP.eucjp (charmap=EUC-JP) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages emacs23-nox depends on: ii emacs23-bin-common 23.2+1-7 The GNU Emacs editor's shared, arc ii libasound2 1.0.23-2.1 shared library for ALSA applicatio ii libc6 2.11.2-7 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libdbus-1-3 1.2.24-4 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libgpm2 1.20.4-3.3 General Purpose Mouse - shared lib ii libncurses5 5.7+20100313-4 shared libraries for terminal hand emacs23-nox recommends no packages.
