Uhm? The /var/lib/mailgraph directory is created in the postinst script with the correct permissions and owner when installing the package, and the permissions on Uwe's system are correct. I'm tagging this bugreport unreproducible, because I wasn't able to reproduce that bug. Please try again with the latest release from unstable, 1.11-1, and let me know the result.
