Could you please recompile 1.7.3 from source as follow: apt-get install build-essential fakeroot cd /tmp apt-get -t unstable source cups-pdf cd cups-pdf-1.7.3
Then edit the following item in src/cups-pdf.h: #define CPLOGTYPE 1 change to #define CPLOGTYPE 7 fakeroot dpkg-buildpackage -uc -us dpkg -i ../cups-pdf*.deb Then try printing anonymously and send the relevant log file excerpt from /var/log/cups/cups-pdf_log to [EMAIL PROTECTED] This should make it a lot easier for us to figure out what's going on.
