Package: mozilla-devscripts Version: 0.25 Severity: normal I help maintain xul-ext-monkeysphere for debian and as part of upstream.
Upstream mainly uses debian, and we maintain an apt repo for users of other debian-style systems to pull from. We just got this report upstream that the xul-ext-monkeysphere package depends on iceweasel, even though firefox should satisfy the dependency: https://labs.riseup.net/code/issues/2716 The debian packaging uses ${xpi:Depends} in debian/control (and therefore depends on mozilla-devscripts to expand the value). it seems like this should be iceweasel | firefox since those applications share a uuid, right? however, it appears to only expand to iceweasel, which makes the upstream-generated package fail on ubuntu. If i'm misunderstanding what mozilla-devscripts is supposed to do, feel free to clarify and close this bug.
