Problem encountered :
I use the following command-line for compiling the linux kernel 2.6.37
make-kpkg --rootcmd fakeroot --initrd --append-to-version=.`date
+%y%m%d` --revision=2.6.37 kernel-image

When compiling, the program stopped after a segmentation error.

I did a reportbug at the following adress:
http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=47374

They said that's not a problem of gcc program :
This means that the assembler (as) segfaulted. as (which is from binutils)
has a separate bugzilla at sourceware.org.
