Using GNOME, I noticed that I'm unable to save my preference with respect to the number of workspaces. When I open a GNOME session (with startx) I get 1 workspace only. So I right-click on the workspace-switcher and select "Preferences" from the menu. In the dialog, I increase the Number of workspaces from 1 to 4 and then click on the Close button. I therefore get 4 workspaces, as I prefer. When I log out from GNOME, I check the "save current setup" box and click on the "OK" button. But, next time I open a GNOME session, I again get 1 workspace and must reconfigure workspace-switcher as stated above... It really seems that workspace-switcher fails to save its configuration (at least for the number of workspaces). What's wrong?
