As the 'fix' is to swap to variables in a structure as show in the buffer in the URL, then maybe a Non-Maintainer fix can resolv this issue very quickly instead of threatening with removing the package completely during a weekend? :) It is the only package in Debian that supports NetFlow v9 metering, thus that is definitely a nice feature to have.
