Package: apcupsd Version: 3.14.8-2 Severity: important Since Jan. 19th 2011 apcupsd hangs, stops, after running from 1-6 hours. The symptoms are always the same:
1. The apps that monitor TIMELEFT and BCHARGE stop. 2. Apcaccess does not respond 3. 3 more apcupsd tasks appear in htop (from the 2 that are normally there) 4. Half an hour later every 10 secs. this appears in syslog: Debian kernel: [ 4987.404050] generic-usb 0003:051D:0002.0001: control queue full. 5. This refers to Bus 003 Device 002: ID 051d:0002 American Power Conversion Uninterruptible Power Supply 6. Apcupsd cannot be cancelled or restarted 7. Upon reboot / cannot be unmounted because it is busy. Reboot finds that / was not unmounted correctly, e2fsck's it and reboots again. I have been running apcupsd on Sid for about 6 years with this unit, I am on my 3rd battery. Sid is uptodate and udev is at version 164-4.
