I came to the same conclusion as well. Alternatively, you could use substitution so that it was only included when built for Ubuntu, but that's more subject to breakage than your solution. On the other hand, the author thought that it would be fairly normal for the app to not be installed with appindicator support, so common that he included a compatibility module. So "in all but unusual situations" might not be an apt description of the relationship, at least for now. > Besides updating to 1.4.0, the branch also imports 1.3.0-1. I wasn't expecting to get much collaboration on this package, and neglected in my duties to keep the repository updated. I'll try to reconcile the disparity. > If you are interested in a co-maintainer, I would be willing to join forces. Sure. I did some work on updating the package, but didn't have the time to do a thorough job of it. I'll be happy to take a look at your branch, and would welcome co-maintaining the package with you. -- Luke Faraone;; Debian & Ubuntu Developer; Sugar Labs, Systems lfaraone on irc.[freenode,oftc].net -- http://luke.faraone.cc PGP fprint: 5189 2A7D 16D0 49BB 046B DC77 9732 5DD8 F9FD D506
