Package: etckeeper Version: 0.51 Severity: minor I have both git and hg installed. When installing etckeeper, etckeeper will automatically init a git repo in /etc.
I think it would be better that etckeeper pops up a dialog to ask users to select their preferred vcs during the post-installation phrase. Or maybe etckeeper can simply not automatically init the repo in /etc. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages etckeeper depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.36 Debian configuration management sy ii git [git-core] 1:1.7.2.3-2.2 fast, scalable, distributed revisi ii git-core 1:1.7.2.3-2.2 fast, scalable, distributed revisi ii mercurial 1.6.4-1 scalable distributed version contr Versions of packages etckeeper recommends: pn cron <none> (no description available) Versions of packages etckeeper suggests: ii sudo 1.7.4p4-6 Provide limited super user privile -- Configuration Files: /etc/etckeeper/etckeeper.conf changed [not included] -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
