Yes there is, and yes it is. Which is why we've settled on 0.7.1 for distro packages at present. But if you're interested in testing the bleeding edge of it, then I do encourage you to grab upstream git and run all the tests you can think of. The bitstream is currently being frozen for Opus, so this is your last chance to find problems before they become permanent. The distro isn't the place to do that sort of experimenting though. You can see this report I posted earlier for more details on that: http://bugs.debian.org/610980 Probably it will be the next 'celt update' that we foist upon the other packages in the distro now. At least if all continues to plan. If someone has a really good reason we could push some updated celt packages to experimental in the meantime, but I'm not really aware of anything much that would help at this stage.
