Running beagle on my Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop is . Althought the functionality is working as advised (once you wait for your data to be indexed), the beagled is using so much memory that it makes my dayly use of my desktop much less usable. The beagle daemon takes around 80-100M of redisent memory, making it the most important running and used application. Its scanning activity makes at least one of my applications unable to start (Intellij IDEA, a closed source java IDE). By unable I mean after 2 min, my application has not yet displayed any GUI. Closing beagled solves the issue. Repeatable issue. Note my kernel doesn't have inotify yet, so that may be a reason as to the poor performance. Will report with 2.6.13 as soon as it is out in Debian unstable.
