Package: syslog-ng
Version: 3.1.3-3
Severity: important
Hi guys,
Starting with kernel v2.6.38-rc3, syslog-ng will break ... it's not able to
open /proc/kmsg !
I've found the following forum thread explaining why:
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/engine?do=post_view_printable;post=1332550;list=linux
Stopping system logging: syslog-ng seems to be stopped already
Starting system logging: syslog-ngError opening file for reading;
filename='/proc/kmsg', error='Operation not permitted (1)'
Error initializing source driver; source='s_src', id='s_src#2'
Error initializing message pipeline;
failed!
