Of course you are right that there is lots of software, including FAI, where
bugs immediately affect other packages or the entire system. An unbootable
system essentially makes all software unusable :-) But exactly that was the
reason why I said it breaks other software *in non-obvious ways*: an unbootable
system or a case where, e.g., setup-storage aborts, is obviously broken, whereas
this easy-to-realize-problem did not seem the case here. For me, at least, this
is what makes the difference in the context of FAI.
