Package: ifplugd Version: 0.26-2 Severity: normal ifplugd gets started too early when run from hotplug. When init gets to "ifup -a" from /etc/init.d/networking, the system hangs for about a minute because "ifup -a" can't get its lock because ifplugd is still trying to bring the hotplug interfaces up.
Config: 'lan' and 'wlan' (renamed by udev) are both to be handled by ifplugd. 'wlan' is a ipw2200 device and configured by wpa_supplicant. The only other interface is 'lo'. The delay happens when there is no network connection at all and if there's only WLAN. If wired LAN is available there's no delay. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12.5 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages ifplugd depends on: ii debconf 1.4.58 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.3.5-5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libdaemon0 0.8-1 lightweight C library for daemons Versions of packages ifplugd recommends: ii ifupdown 0.6.7 high level tools to configure netw -- debconf information: * ifplugd/interfaces: * ifplugd/hotplug_interfaces: all * ifplugd/args: -q -f -u0 -d10 -w -I * ifplugd/suspend_action: stop -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
