Package: squashfs-tools
Version: 1:4.0-8
Severity: important

Hi,
I'm running squeeze on an armel target (sqfs-tools 4.0) and created an image
using this command:
mksquashfs /var /.var.sqfs -noI -noD -noF
(compression disabled because underlying fs has compression activated and cpu
is rather weak)

Still on the arm machine, I tried to mount it with:
mount -o loop,ro .var.sqfs /tmp/mnt

That was NOT possible. The output of dmesg showed stack traces.

I tried version 4.1 from Sid and did exactly the same.
This time it worked as expected. The image could be mounted WITHOUT problems.

Surprisingly, running the same 4.0 command in a cross chroot environment via
qemu worked (host: amd64).
The target machine is a Sheevaplug derivative (Seagate Dockstar).

Regards,
Marcus
