Hi,

apticron in Squeeze, for a completely fresh installation, installs both
/etc/cron.d/apticron and /etc/cron.daily/apticron, so duplicate emails are sent
every day.

dpkg does not know about the first location, so I imagine it is created in a
postinst:

beast:~# dpkg -S /etc/cron.daily/apticron
apticron: /etc/cron.daily/apticron

beast:~# dpkg -S /etc/cron.d/apticron
dpkg: /etc/cron.d/apticron not found.
