Sorry, I completely forgot.
Please find hotplug.log attached. I added two logging debugging
statements into /lib/udev/net.agent and ifup is executed with
exec ifup --allow=hotplug eth0
however, the interface is not up and running. When I log in as root and
execute the exact same command (with allow=hotplug) the interface is
getting configured.
I'm not sure where to look further. I tried redirecting the stderr and
stdout of the actual ifup invocation to a file in /dev, but I always end
up with an empty file. Not sure why.
