Package: debian-goodies
Version: 0.53
Severity: wishlist
Tags: squeeze

It would be nice to have some kind of helper which wades thru the installed
packages on a system and checks if they can be re-downloaded.

If not, this is an indication that the package in question has been removed
from the debian repos (or sources.list has been modified to no more include
a pool which was formally available).

I think this may be very helpful for a systems maintainer to remove or replace
dead (and for that outdated) packages.
