Yes, the issue remains, although it now does not print out that message
anymore and simply hangs at random points, most of the time after
mounting my drives though.

I did that and as soon as I execute the systemctl command, I get no
output and that VT becomes unusable too. No key works except of SysRq
which at least allows me to reboot.

I gave it roughly 10 minutes without anything happening, I don’t expect
it to continue ever.
